Someone asked me what the bar was in the King Kullen parking lot? Before I could reply my friend said, "ZZ McQuades." I’m not one to correct people (yeah, right I do it ALL the time) but I had to show off the fact that I have been in West Islip since before him. I intervened and said, "Welcome Aboard" was the name of the bar before McQuades. I have such a great recollection of the past history of West Islip. I dare anybody to try and stump me. I remember old gas stations, delis, bars, pizzerias. You name it. I also know where EVERY street in the town is and who lives or has lived there. So come on I dare you to stump me.
