It is rewarding to bring our community a sense of musical appreciation throughout the year, throughout the holiday, season and times of our lives. The Babylon Chorale is a group of musicians and singers with a love of music which is desired to be shared with others. All of our lives are touched by prayer, solace, and music. The Babylon Chorlae offers concerts throughout the year, for those who appreciate the arts, to come an enjoy, ponder and reflect on music experiences and styles. This year in 2007-=2008, we are privledged to have a new conductor, Jeffrey Francom, who brings a new style and focus to the Babylopn Choralre. In December, join us for a Baroque Holiday. Experience the timeless music of this famous period, performed with orchestra, and join us in a traditional sing-along. What a way to ring in the holiday season. Saturday, December 8th 2007 at St. Peter’s Episcopoal Church on Montauk Highway in Bay Shore.
Then to Reflect and experience Spring, why not come an listen to the traditions of the english cathedral? Enjoy the masterpieces in the beautiful setting of St. Peter’s By The Sea in Bay Shore… The arena for this music to be preforrmed is exquisite!, featuring selections by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Charles Parry, William Harris and Gustav Holst, accompanied by the great organ. Come Join the Babylon Chorale on March 29th, Sunday, 2008 at 7:30 PM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Montauk Highway in Bay Shore. The concert: Traditions of the English Cathedral!
For an entirely American Experience, Come Join The Babylon Choraler on Saturday, June 7th at 2008 at 7:309 PM at Suffolk Community College at the Sagtikos Theatre in Brentwood for a beautiful concert featurintg songs of America. Featured selections will include Aaron Copland, John Rutter, George Gershwin and othe favorites all will know and love. Details available at www.babylonchorlae.org.
