Today is Martin Luther King Day, the day our nation set aside to honor the man and his Dream of how we as Americans should treat one another and how America should be and the steps he took to make that Dream a reality. It is so important for all of us, in every walk of life, to ensure that his words and deeds don’t die in the years since his passing. At Netter Real Estate, we try to live Dr. King’s dream every day.
Dr. King was outspoken about the simple pride a person should take in honest work. He once said, “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, ‘Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.’”
At Netter Real Estate, we are all Real Estate Professionals who pride ourselves on doing our jobs well. Here are a few things that we provide:
- Listening to and catering to your every real estate need
- Great Internet presence for the broadest reach to the buyers looking for their perfect home
- Market Share in the Long Island communities we serve* — meaning we make more of the successful matches between real estate sellers and buyers than anyone else, even in this economy
- Reputation of honesty and integrity making Netter Real Estate the place the media (like the New York Times and Newsday) turns to when they need the story on what’s really going on in the real estate world
* as per MLS statistics
Service to others was also foremost on Dr. King’s mind. He once said, “We are prone to judge success by the index of our salary or the size of our automobile, than by the quality of our service to others and our relationship to humanity.”
In this way as well, Netter Real Estate honors Martin Luther King, Jr. We are proud to say that our REALTOR peers voted several members of the Netter Family to serve the greater good of the Real Estate Community. Our own Liz English was the President of the Long Island Board of REALTORS (LIBOR) in 2011 and remains active on various committees in 2012, Dianne Scalza was the President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS (WCR) in 2011, Christina Galicia is the President of the Suffolk South Shore Chapter of LIBOR, Angela Charron is the Treasurer of the Suffolk South Shore Chapter of LIBOR and Richard Bocchieri, Louise Grinsell and Judy Cangemi are each Directors of the Suffolk South Shore Chapter of LIBOR and Matthew Arnold was President of the Chapter in 2011 and remains on the Board in 2012. Jim Netter, our Broker/Owner/Mentor fosters an atmosphere of service to our fellow REALTORS and our community as a whole. We are accountable to ourselves, each other and the people we serve and that makes all the difference.
