Living in Idle Hour in Oakdale is very special – I know – I live there.  The community is rich with the history of the Vanderbilt Estate which encompassed all of the area south of Montauk Highway and was bordered by the Connetquot River.  If you turn off of Montauk Highway onto Idle Hour Boulevard and follow the road as it winds its way past Dowling College and the lovely historic houses scattered among the lovely modern ones you will arrive at the Tower Mews.  At the ancient clock tower, continue through the two brick arches, pass the Artist Colony homes and the Hog Wallow, now a lovely fish pond, and continue on Tower Mews as it twists and turns.  Turn left on Canal Road and you arrive at Marlboro Lagoon.  You have arrived at a truly lovely place to live, play, entertain and enjoy boating.

With a private office with outside entrance, a dance studio/exercise room, an in ground pool surrounding with a deck for relaxing or entertaining and a two room cabana with a full bath room – you will find a lot of activity here – if you choose.  Or on the second floor, there are two extra large family bedrooms with exceptionally large closets, a new marble bath and a master suite set off to by its self.  The Master Bedroom has a wall of windows overlooking the lagoon, cathedral ceilings, a spa bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, skylight, marble bath and double sinks in a marble vanity and a walk in closet which extends in to a storage room.
